Job Description:

As a video editor, you will contribute significantly to the development of visual narratives for a cutting-edge AI platform that is reshaping the legal sector. The position is located in Edinburgh and combines office and remote work in a hybrid manner. You will be in charge of editing and completing video projects, ensuring that the material is engaging and adheres to the goals, values, and style of the business. Working collaboratively with the creative team, you will create engaging videos that enhance the company’s reputation.

In this position, you’ll:

• Lead the video editing process to transform unprocessed footage into understandable themes.
• To produce seamless and polished videos, use programs like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects.
• To enhance video quality, add motion graphics and make color adjustments (using DaVinci Resolve is advantageous).
• Develop concepts and enhance the finished videos in collaboration with producers and members of the creative team.
• Manage multiple video projects at once, ensuring that they are completed on schedule and to a high standard.

Skills and Qualifications Needed:

•  Strong Visual Storytelling Skills:  You should be able to use video to tell an impactful and captivating story. Your work should take the audience on a clear and engaging journey, from organizing the scenes to selecting the appropriate images.
• Outstanding Technical Skills: You must be at ease with leading video editing programs, including After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe Premiere Pro. A significant advantage is having motion design experience and understanding how to produce fluid animations, effects, and transitions.
•  Sharp Eye for Detail: Your attention to detail should be evident in your finished product, from correcting lighting and color to ensuring that every transition is seamless and every frame appears professional.
• Team Collaboration Skills: You should like working closely with producers, designers, and other creatives, and be a team player who appreciates brainstorming. You should be able to handle your tasks and operate independently without continual monitoring at the same time.
• Excellent Organizational Skills: You need to be able to manage several video projects concurrently, adhere to deadlines, and still generate excellent work.
